My Wild Garden
My Wild Garden (published in March 2017) is a collection of stories, reflections and memories by the author Meir Shalev, who has found a new hobby, a new love: his wildflower garden and the animals that inhabit it. I too have fallen in love with this garden, a love that I hope my illustrations reflect. The book contains forty illustrations: twenty pen drawings which depict the garden’s atmosphere, its surroundings and plants, and twenty colour aquarelles, mostly of flowers.
Thirty-five of these illustrations were displayed at the Eretz Israel Museum Tel Aviv in the exhibition “My Wild Garden- Illustrations”, November 2017. The exhibition and the illustrations were written about in Yedioth Ahronoth and The Jerusalem Post, among other newspapers. These illustrations were also exhibited at Hansen House, Jerusalem (August 2018).
